PROSO KOFIKROM ZONAL COUNCIL
The Proso Kofikrom Area Council is one of the functional sub-structures of the Juaboso District Assembly, established to decentralize governance, strengthen local administration, and bring decision-making closer to the people. In line with the provisions of the Local Governance Act, the Area Council plays a vital role in promoting grassroots participation and ensuring that community needs are effectively represented in the district’s development agenda.
The Council serves as a key link between the local communities and the central District Assembly, facilitating communication, coordinating development initiatives, and supporting the implementation of policies and programmes at the local level. Through its activities, the Proso Kofikrom Area Council contributes significantly to fostering inclusive development and improving service delivery within its jurisdiction.
The Zonal Council has seven (7) Electoral areas namely:
- Bonsu Nkwanta
- Proso Kofikrom
- Fantraline
- Aboboyaa
- Anhweafutu
- Kefas
- Gyato
The Proso Kofikrom Area council is made up of 15 Area Council Members. The Chairman for the Area Council is Mr. Joseph Gyabeng and Hon. Gladys Akotia is the Secretary.
