Asempanaye Area Council is the Sub-district Unit that handles local governance for the Asempanaye and its surrounding Communities under the Juaboso District Assembly. The area is mostly rural, with farming and some mining activities. The area served population of about 4,901 acording to the 2021 Population Census in Ghana. The Council operates under the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936).
