Juaboso District Trains 127 Youth in Pig Farming Under LED Strategy

The Juaboso District Assembly, through its Local Economic Development (LED) Strategy, has trained 127 youth in pig farming and other livestock production initiatives as part of efforts to promote entrepreneurship and reduce unemployment in the district.

The announcement was made by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Alexander Adu-Quist, during the General Assembly Meeting held on 15th December 2025. According to the DCE, the initiative forms part of the Assembly’s broader commitment to creating sustainable economic opportunities for young people within the district.

He noted that equipping the youth with practical skills in livestock production is expected to enhance income generation, improve food security, and stimulate local economic growth. The training programme, implemented under the Local Economic Development framework, aims to encourage self-employment and strengthen the agricultural value chain in the district.

The DCE further reaffirmed the Assembly’s dedication to supporting youth-focused initiatives that promote economic resilience and long-term development across communities in Juaboso.
