JUABOSO DISTRICT EDUCATION OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE HOLDS STRATEGIC MEETING ON EDUCATION DELIVERY
The Juaboso District Education Oversight Committee (DEOC), established under Section 33 of the Pre-Tertiary Education Act, 2020 (Act 1049), convened a meeting on Tuesday, 16th June 2026, at the Office of the Hon. District Chief Executive to deliberate on key issues affecting education delivery in the district.
The meeting brought together committee members and key stakeholders to assess the current state of education and explore practical strategies to improve learning outcomes across all levels.
Discussions covered a broad range of critical areas, including a review of the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) report, which provided insight into student performance and highlighted areas requiring targeted intervention. The Committee also examined the state of Kindergarten (KG) infrastructure across the district, emphasizing the need for improved learning environments to support early childhood education.
In addition, the Committee explored capacity-building opportunities for teachers, recognizing the importance of continuous professional development in enhancing teaching quality. Members were also briefed on the Ghana Accountability for Learning Outcomes Project (GALOP), with discussions centered on how the programme can be effectively leveraged to strengthen teaching and learning in the district.
Teacher motivation and retention emerged as another key area of focus, with the Committee considering strategies to support and retain qualified educators within the district. The meeting further reviewed previous decisions and addressed matters arising to ensure continuity and accountability in the Committee’s work.
The Juaboso District Education Oversight Committee reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the Ghana Education Service and other relevant stakeholders to enhance access to quality education and improve learning outcomes for all children in the district.
The Committee emphasized that sustained collaboration, strategic planning, and continuous monitoring will remain essential in addressing educational challenges and driving progress within the Juaboso District.
