Juaboso District Assembly Holds Entity Tender Committee Meeting to Review Ongoing Projects

The Juaboso District Assembly convened an Entity Tender Committee Meeting on 6th July 2026 at the Office of the District Chief Executive to review procurement processes and assess the progress of ongoing projects within the district.

The meeting was chaired by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Alexander Adu Quist, and attended by the District Coordinating Director, PLN. Godfred K.B. Banornumah, Budget Officer Victor Ofoli Yemorh, Internal Auditor Mr. Imoro, Planning Officer Mr. Eric Oppong, Head of Works Department Mr. Nyeamah, and staff of the Procurement Department, including Mr. Meshack Ato and Mr. Sam Lewis.

The Entity Tender Committee plays a critical role in the public procurement process at the district level. It is responsible for reviewing and approving procurement activities, ensuring transparency, value for money, and compliance with the Public Procurement Act. The Committee also oversees contract awards, monitors project execution, and ensures that all procurement decisions align with established regulations and development priorities.

During the meeting, Mr. Meshack Ato delivered a comprehensive presentation on projects that have been awarded within the district. He also provided detailed insight into the procurement process, explaining how bids are evaluated and how contracts are awarded in line with due process.

Members of the Committee deliberated extensively on the various projects, focusing on timelines, contract sums, and the overall execution of works. The discussions were aimed at ensuring that all projects are delivered efficiently and meet the expected standards for the benefit of the people of Juaboso.

Particular attention was drawn to a project that has experienced delays beyond its expected completion period. The District Coordinating Director expressed concern over the situation and tasked the Works and Planning Departments to conduct a thorough assessment of the project site. The team is expected to evaluate the level of work completed, identify outstanding tasks, and recommend the appropriate course of action regarding the contractor.

The Committee also reviewed additional projects that were not initially captured in the work plan, indicating ongoing efforts to expand development initiatives within the district. Further details on these projects are expected to be communicated in the coming days.
