One of the major concerns raised during the meeting was the lack of changing rooms in schools for beneficiaries of the Free Sanitary Pads initiative. Mr. Stephen Tikoli, speaking on behalf of the students, highlighted the challenges faced by girls who have no designated spaces to change. Following discussions, Management tasked the Works Department to ensure that future educational infrastructure projects incorporate essential facilities such as changing rooms.

The issue of professionalism and staff attitude was also discussed. The District Health Director was tasked to ensure that health service personnel demonstrate improved professionalism and a positive attitude towards clients in healthcare facilities across the district.

In the area of agriculture, Management directed the Department of Agriculture to intensify the promotion of ginger and chilli pepper production as part of efforts to enhance livelihoods and improve economic outcomes for residents.

The District Chief Executive further urged members to take official communications seriously, particularly with regard to responding to meeting invitations, noting concerns about frequent excuses related to non-receipt of invitation letters.

On infrastructure, concerns were raised about delays in the demolition of structures earmarked for road expansion. The DCE explained that the delay was due to unfavourable weather conditions but assured members that the exercise would resume when conditions improve.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) presented reports on the conduct of national examinations within the district. For the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), 1,746 out of 1,777 registered candidates sat for the exams, with 31 candidates absent. Notably, three pregnant girls and one nursing mother successfully participated in the examination.

For the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), a total of 1,102 candidates registered across the district.

The Works Department also presented updates on upcoming projects and identified renovation works requiring urgent attention.

Additionally, the Survey Board presented its findings on obsolete and unserviceable assets, including equipment, tools, vehicles, and plant machinery. Management agreed on appropriate procedures for the disposal of such items in accordance with regulations.

The District Coordinating Director emphasized the need for seriousness and commitment among staff, warning that failure to comply with directives and demonstrate active participation in official duties may result in disciplinary actions.

In his remarks, the District Chief Executive outlined ongoing and upcoming development initiatives, including educational infrastructure improvements and the provision of learning materials. He also highlighted ongoing health projects at the Juaboso Government Hospital and the proposed establishment of a polyclinic at Asempaneye.

The DCE, however, expressed concern that while groundwork for many projects has commenced, delays in administrative documentation continue to hinder progress. He therefore urged staff to be proactive and committed to ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed promptly to facilitate project execution.

The meeting concluded with a renewed call for dedication, coordination, and improved performance across all departments to drive development in the Juaboso District.
