HON. ALEXANDER ADU-QUIST HOLDS SITE MEETING AND INSPECTS 24-HOUR MODEL MARKET SITE
JUABOSO, AUGUST 12, 2026 — As part of ongoing efforts to accelerate local economic development and ensure value for money, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Juaboso, Hon. Alexander Adu-Quist, held a technical progress meeting with key project stakeholders regarding the construction of the new 24-Hour Economy Model Market in Juaboso.
The meeting brought together the project consultancy firm, Devepro 360 Engineering Consult Limited, and the main contracting firm, Kissart Group Limited, alongside assembly officials to review project timelines, technical specifications, and site deliverables.
Following the meeting, Hon. Adu-Quist led a comprehensive site inspection to evaluate physical progress and reinforce execution standards. He emphasized the critical importance of delivering the infrastructure efficiently while aligning local execution with national economic goals.
Key Inspection Standards & Directives
Speaking during the site assessment, Mr. Collins Sarkodi Consultant highlighted four essential pillars that the consultants and contractors must strictly enforce throughout the construction phase:
Cost Control: Strictly managing expenditures to prevent budget overruns and guarantee the prudent application of public resources.
Quality Assurance: Enforcing rigid structural and engineering standards to ensure durability and public safety.
Site & Structural Security: Safeguarding equipment, materials, and personnel, as well as protecting surrounding communities during execution.
Visitor Access & Directional Signage: Installing clear, professional access markers and directional signs to maintain safety and effortless navigation for visitors and trade partners.
Delivering on the 24-Hour Market Vision
Underscoring the strategic vision behind the initiative, Hon. Alexander Adu-Quist reiterated that expanding economic opportunity through the 24-Hour Market system remains a top priority of the President. The market is designed to extend trading hours, generate sustainable jobs, and significantly stimulate commercial activity throughout the Juaboso District.
The District Assembly, through its technical supervisory units, will continue to conduct regular monitoring visits to ensure the project meets all agreed timelines and quality standards.
