JUABOSO DISTRICT ASSEMBLY HOLDS CORE MANAGEMENT MEETING TO REVIEW PERFORMANCE AND STRENGTHEN ADMINISTRATIVE EFFICIENCY

The Juaboso District Assembly on Thursday, 16th July 2026, convened a core management meeting at the Office of the District Chief Executive to assess institutional performance, address internal challenges, and outline strategies for improved service delivery.

The meeting was attended by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Alexander Adu Quist, the District Coordinating Director, Pln. Godfred K.B. Banornumah, Heads of Departments and Units, as well as staff of the Assembly.

In his opening remarks, the District Coordinating Director expressed concern over declining staff commitment and lapses in adherence to timelines. He emphasized the need for improved work ethic, professionalism, and dedication among staff to enhance institutional performance.

Deliberations during the meeting focused on key administrative and operational issues, including:

• Review of proposed projects and programmes for the 2026 Plan and Budget
• Performance of the District in the National and Regional Assessments
• Status of the Mid-Year Performance Contract
• Audit processes and financial accountability measures
• Progress on internally generated revenue and submission of reports

The Assembly’s ranking on the District League Table was highlighted, with the District currently placed 4th in the Western North Region. However, concerns were raised regarding the Assembly’s performance in recent financial assessments.

The Head of Internal Audit, Mr. Immoro, attributed the low performance to gaps in compliance with financial benchmarks and internal control systems. He further noted that low staff morale may be contributing to inefficiencies in task execution and overall output.

Other internal challenges, including pending administrative infractions and delays in report submissions, were also discussed, with management urging departments to take corrective measures.

In his closing remarks, the District Chief Executive acknowledged the concerns raised and assured staff of management’s commitment to implementing reforms aimed at improving staff motivation, strengthening accountability, and enhancing overall performance of the Assembly.

The meeting concluded with a renewed focus on discipline, teamwork, and adherence to established administrative procedures to ensure effective governance and service delivery in the district.
