Juaboso Executive Committee Reviews Development Progress and Sets Agenda for 2026
The Juaboso District Assembly held its Executive Committee Meeting on 12th May 2026 at the Office of the District Chief Executive, bringing together key stakeholders to review the district’s development progress and outline priorities for the year.
The meeting, chaired by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Alexander Adu-Quist, was attended by members of the Executive Committee, the District Coordinating Director, Heads of Departments, and other officials of the Assembly.
In his address, the DCE emphasized the importance of collaboration, unity, and shared responsibility in advancing the development agenda of the district. He called on members to leverage their collective experience and expertise to improve the living conditions of residents.

Security and Governance
The DCE reported that the district continues to enjoy a peaceful and stable environment and urged all stakeholders to sustain the prevailing calm through collective effort and vigilance.
Financial Performance
The Assembly recorded a total revenue of GH₵8,751,483.63 as of the end of March 2026, representing 19.43% of the projected annual target. These funds are being directed toward the implementation of approved development projects across the district.
Development Interventions
Education:
The Assembly continues to invest in educational infrastructure, with ongoing projects including a Kindergarten block at Breman and a 6-unit classroom block at Sayerano. The KG block at Juaboso Cluster of Schools is nearing completion, while additional classroom projects are at advanced procurement stages.
Health:
Progress was also reported in the health sector, with the CHPS compound at Kefas completed and awaiting handover, and another at Adwumamu nearing completion. Plans are underway to construct an additional CHPS facility at Fantraline. Meanwhile, work is ongoing on the Nursing Training School project, although the expansion of the Juaboso District Hospital is yet to commence.
Water and Sanitation:
Significant strides have been made in water infrastructure, with mechanized boreholes nearing completion in several communities. Additional borehole projects are also at various stages of implementation to improve access to clean water.
Road Infrastructure:
The Assembly has completed the shaping and reshaping of approximately 84.9 kilometres of roads, particularly in rural and agricultural areas, to enhance accessibility and support economic activities.
Local Economic Development
The DCE highlighted the progress of the 24-hour economy market project, describing it as a transformative initiative for the district. He acknowledged challenges, including legal disputes related to land and relocation, and called on traditional authorities, Assembly Members, and the public to support the successful implementation of the project.
Agriculture Initiative
Under the government’s “Nkoko Nketenkete” programme, the Assembly received 10,000 broiler chickens, of which 9,900 have been distributed to beneficiaries. The Department of Agriculture has been tasked to monitor and support beneficiaries to ensure the success of the initiative.
Conclusion
The meeting reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to improving service delivery, accelerating development projects, and working collaboratively to enhance the socio-economic well-being of the people of Juaboso.
