Juaboso 24-Hour Market Project Enters Construction Phase

The Juaboso District Assembly, under the leadership of the District Chief Executive, Hon. Alexander Adu-Quist, has officially handed over the site for the construction of the much-anticipated 24-hour economy market.

The brief but significant ceremony took place on 15th April 2026 at the designated market space in Juaboso, where the DCE, together with the Chief of Juaboso, formally released the site to the contractor to commence work.

The site handover marks a major milestone in the Assembly’s efforts to promote economic growth and improve trading conditions within the district. The 24-hour market project is expected to expand commercial activities, create employment opportunities, and support local businesses by providing a structured environment for round-the-clock trading.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Adu-Quist emphasized the importance of the project in advancing the government’s 24-hour economy agenda, noting that the initiative will significantly contribute to enhancing livelihoods and boosting the local economy.

The involvement of traditional authorities underscores the strong collaboration between the Assembly and community leadership in driving development initiatives that benefit the people of Juaboso.

With the site now officially handed over, the contractor is expected to move to site and begin construction works in earnest.
